JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for the overall inventory management for selected categories of merchandise to ensure service levels are maintained at the DC's to our stores.  Manages the day-to-day activities for selected categories of inventory replenishment utilizing an automated replenishment system. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Responsible for the replenishment of SKUs in the O'Reilly Distribution Centers.

Maintain a high fill rate and improve inventory turns by collaborating directly with suppliers

Manage projects and effectively communicate necessary information to all relevant stakeholders within the supply chain.

Act as a liaison between multiple departments and suppliers on inventory management matters.

Assist Category Managers and Project Coordinator with line updates, changes, level additions and stock adjustments to ensure that proper inventory management processes are followed, new items are properly set up and all merchandise is ordered in time to be received and processed by the DC's prior to the rollout date.

Use various tools in the replenishment system to manage inventory levels for product categories through the analysis of trends, exceptions, and demand history to ensure we are replenishing and managing the SKUs in the most efficient way possible.

SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES

Required:

Associates Degree in business administration, inventory management, logistics or related field and/or equivalent work experience

Understanding of supply chain management, inventory management or retail replenishment

Good mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Desired: 

1-2 years of supply chain management, inventory management, purchasing or replenishment buying.

Knowledge of Manhattan Associates Replenishment software or similar replenishment or demand planning software.

Knowledge of purchasing functions.
